At Ysgol bro Gwaun, we thoroughly believe that teaching extends far beyond the classroom and that outstanding education should offer all students an extensive range of enrichment activities which will support them to be successful in life. Alongside an academically rigorous, challenging and thought-provoking curriculum, enrichment activities, offer pupils an opportunity to develop and extend their skills outside of the timetabled curriculum.
These activities provide opportunities for students to learn new skills, make new friendships across year groups and develop their confidence, teamwork and communication skills.
There are opportunities to visit local fisheries, learn new sports such as rowing, visit local historical landmarks through rambling and work with Picton Castle to develop our own vegetable patch. Creative clubs are run, such as photography, cross-stitch and environmental projects with links to community groups where you can learn how to protect our coastline with the Sea Trust.
There is an enrichment activity for everyone to help develop their integral skills which will benefit them throughout their time in Ysgol Bro Gwaun and beyond.
