Annwyl Riant / Warcheidwad
Mae’n bleser mawr gennyf groesawu chi i Ysgol Bro Gwaun.
Yn ein hysgol, credwn yn gryf fod pob person ifanc yn haeddu’r dechrau gorau posibl yn eu bywydau. Mae ein arwyddair, “Angori doeth, dyfodol disglair”, yn ein hatgoffa bob dydd o’r cydbwysedd rydym yn anelu ato: angori’n gadarn yn ein cymuned, ein hiaith a’n diwylliant Cymreig, a chael yr hyder a’r sgiliau i hwylio’n llwyddiannus i’r dyfodol.
Rydym yn falch iawn o fod yn ysgol ddwy iaith, lle mae disgyblion yn dysgu ac yn ffynnu trwy gyfrwng y Gymraeg a’r Saesneg. Nid ydym yn gweld dwyieithrwydd fel sgil academaidd yn unig, ond fel rhodd sy’n cryfhau hunaniaeth ac yn agor drysau i gyfleoedd ehangach.
Mae ein staff yn ymroddedig i sicrhau addysgu a dysgu o’r safon uchaf mewn amgylchedd gofalgar a chynhwysol. Rydym yn gosod disgwyliadau uchel, yn cynnig arweiniad a chefnogaeth gref, ac yn meithrin doniau pob disgybl — boed yn academaidd, yn greadigol, ar y maes chwaraeon neu’n bersonol. Mae perthnasoedd wrth galon popeth a wnawn: partneriaethau cryf gyda theuluoedd, a chreu ymdeimlad gwirioneddol o berthyn i ddisgyblion a staff fel ei gilydd.
Mae Ysgol Bro Gwaun yn fwy na dim ond ysgol — mae’n gymuned. Cymuned lle mae disgyblion yn cael eu hannog i fod yn uchelgeisiol, yn garedig, yn wydn, ac yn falch o bwy ydynt a ble maent yn dod ohono. Gyda’n gilydd, rydym yn paratoi ein pobl ifanc i gyfrannu’n gadarnhaol, yn lleol ac yn fyd-eang.
Yr eiddoch yn gywir

Dear Parent / Carer
It is my great pleasure to welcome you to Ysgol Bro Gwaun.
At our school, we are guided by the belief that every young person deserves the very best start in life. Our motto, “Angori doeth, dyfodol disglair” — “Anchor wisely, bright future” — reminds us daily of the balance we strive for: strong roots in our community, our Welsh language and culture, and the skills to set sail confidently towards the future.
We are proud to be a bilingual school, where pupils learn and thrive through the medium of both Welsh and English. We see bilingualism not just as an academic skill, but as a gift that strengthens identity and opens doors to wider opportunities.
Our staff are dedicated to delivering high-quality teaching and learning in a caring, inclusive environment. We set high expectations, provide strong guidance and support, and nurture every pupil’s talents — academic, creative, sporting, and personal. Relationships are at the heart of what we do: strong partnerships with families, and a genuine sense of belonging for pupils and staff alike.
Ysgol Bro Gwaun is more than a school — it is a community. A place where pupils are encouraged to be ambitious, kind, resilient, and proud of who they are and where they come from. Together, we prepare our young people to contribute positively, both locally and globally.
Yours sincerely
Alana Finn
