Dychwelyd i'r ysgol ym mis Ionawr - Neges pwysig i rieni/gofalwyr

Yn dilyn cyhoeddiad Llywodraeth Cymru ddoe, hoffwn gadarnhau y bydd Ysgol Bro Gwaun yn:

  • parhau gyda'r HMS ar y 4ydd o Ionawr, felly ni fydd dysgu ar lein yn digwydd ar y diwrnod hwn.
  • darparu dysgu ar lein rhwng Dydd Mawrth y 5ed o Ionawr a Dydd Gwener yr 8fed o Ionawr.
  • dychwelyd i ddysgu yn yr ysgol ar gyfer pob disgybl o Ddydd Llun 11eg o Ionawr, os na fydd amgylchiadau iechyd a diogelwch yn bodoli a ni fyddwn yn gallu ail agor.  Byddwn yn cadarnhau y trefniadau yn ystod yr wythnos gyntaf nol ym mis Ionawr.
  • darparu gofal plant i weithwyr allweddol a dysgwyr bregus o Ddydd Mercher 6ed o Ionawr yn unig.  Cysylltwch a wendy.davies@ysgolbrogwaun.com erbyn 3:00yh ar Ddydd Llun y 4ydd o Ionawr er mwyn bwcio llefydd gofal plant.
Mae mwy o wybodaeth ar gael yn y llythyr sydd wedi cael ei atodi wrth yr awdurdod lleol.
Unwaith eto, hoffwn ddymuno Nadolig hapus, ymlaciol a diogel i chi gyd.
Paul Edwards.

2020-12-11 IMPORTANT- END OF TERM MESSAGE

Dear Parent/Carer,

Thank you all for your fantastic support this term which I believe has been a successful one regardless of the covid cases we have had to deal with. I’m pleased to report that thankfully, as we come to the end of the term, we don’t have any active cases or pupils/staff in isolation, which I hope will give everyone in our school community the opportunity to relax and have a safe and enjoyable Christmas.

Just a few important points please:

  • As it stands, all pupils return to school on Tuesday 5th January. (Monday the 4th is a designated INSET day)
  • There will be no change to our operating procedures.
  • Uniform- normal school uniform should be worn on days when PE is not timetabled. PE kit should only be worn on days when PE is timetabled.
  • Windows and doors will continue to be opened to aid ventilation and pupils will be allowed to wear additional layers of clothing to keep warm at the discretion of the classroom teacher. However we emphasise that a school jumper should be worn as a first layer of clothing on top of the school shirt. Please ensure your child(ren) have the correct uniform on their return.
  • Please keep an eye out for any Welsh Government announcements regarding any possible changes to the start of the new year. We will post any changes through our social media pages, expression text messaging and school website
  • If your child, or any member of your household has Covid-19 symptoms during the holiday period please continue to request a test by phoning 119 or using the online portal https://gov.wales/apply-coronavirus-covid-19-test.
  • If your child has a positive Covid test result over the holiday period please e-mail your child’s name, year group and school to education.coronavirus@pembrokeshire.gov.uk . Please note that the self-isolation period is now 10 days.

Wishing you a peaceful, relaxing and safe Christmas.

Paul Edwards and all at YBG.

2020-12-11 PWYSIG – NEGES DIWEDD TYMOR

Annwyl Riant/Warcheidwad,

Diolch i chi am eich cefnogaeth gwych y tymor yma.  Credaf fod y tymor wedi bod yn un llwyddiannus er gwaethaf yr achosion Covid rydym wedi gorfod delio â hwy.  Rwy’n falch i adrodd nad oes gennym un achos Covid ar hyn o bryd a does dim aelodau o staff na disgyblion wedi gorfod hunan ynysu.  Gobeithiaf y bydd hyn yn rhoi cyfle i gymdeithas yr ysgol orffwyso, cadw’n ddiogel a mwynhau y Nadolig.

Dyma rhai pwyntiau pwysig os gwelwch yn dda:

  • Fel mae’n sefyll ar hyn o bryd, bydd pob disgybl yn dychwelyd i’r ysgol ar Ddydd Mawrth 5ed o Ionawr.  (Bydd Dydd Llun y 4ydd yn ddiwrnod HMS)
  • Ni fydd unrhyw newidiadau i’n trefniadau gweithio o ddydd i ddydd.
  • Gwisg ysgol: Dylid gwisgo’r wisg ysgol arferol ar ddiwrnodau lle nad oes Addysg Gorfforol ar yr amserlen, yna y cit chwaraeon y dylid ei wisgo pan mae Addysg Gorfforol ar yr amserlen.
  • Bydd drysau a ffenestri ar agor ar gyfer sicrhau awyriad ond gall ddisgyblion (dan arweiniad yr athro dosbarth) wisgo haenau ychwanegol o ddillad i gadw’n dwym.  Er hyn, rydym yn pwysleisio mai siwmper ysgol y dylid ei wisgo fel haen ychwanegol yn gyntaf Sicrhewch os gwelwch yn dda bod eich plentyn/plant yn gwisgo’r wisg ysgol cywir.
  • Cadwch lygad ar unrhyw gyhoeddiadau oddiwrth Llywodraeth Cymru ynghylch unrhyw newidiadau i ddechrau’r flwyddyn ysgol newydd.  Byddwn yn eich hysbysu o unrhyw newidiadau drwy ein gwefannau cymdeithasol, Expressions ac ar safle wê yr ysgol.
  • Os fydd gan eich plentyn neu unrhyw aelod o’r cartref symptomau Covid-19 yn ystod y gwyliau, gofynnwch am brawf Covid drwy ffonio 119 neu ddefnyddiwch y portal ar lein: https://gov.wales/apply-coronavirus-covid-19-test

Os fydd eich plentyn wedi derbyn canlyniad positif o Covid dros y gwyliau, e bostiwch enw, blwyddyn ysgol ac enw ysgol eich plentyn i: education.coronavirus@pembrokeshire.gov.uk
Er sylw i chi, mae’r cyfnod hunan ynysu wedi newid nawr i ddeg diwrnod.

Dymunaf Nadolig heddychlon, gorffwysol a diogel i chi gyd.

Paul Edwards a phawb yn Ysgol Bro Gwaun.

Frequently Asked Questions

Pembrokeshire County Council will require all staff and learners in secondary schools to carry face coverings with them.  They will be expected to use them in communal areas and corridors in line with the school’s own risk assessment. Face coverings are recommended where social distancing cannot be maintained.  However they are not a replacement for far more effective measures such as good hand hygiene and social distancing.

All pupils are asked to ensure that they bring an appropriate face covering to the school on their return.
