Some of our year 9 pupils participated in a creative arts project involving a wide variety of enrichment activities between January and April. The pupils contributed to a wide range of outcomes as a result of the project, namely pictures, drawings and an animated film. It involved several trips out into the community, drawing, taking photographs and participating in public speaking workshops, as well as interviewing members of the public about their lives in Fishguard and the surrounding area.

Theatre Gwaun are generously supporting our project by allowing us to show our animated film in their cinema on Wednesday 11th July, 2018 at 5:00pm! This is very exciting for us and we would be delighted if you will come and watch it. Drinks and snacks will be available to buy from the Theatre Gwaun bar.

We are planning on showing the premiere of ‘Sail and Anchor’ at 5:30pm, so there is an opportunity to browse through our pupils’ sketchbooks and photographs before the animated film starts. The film lasts approximately 30 minutes.

We would formally like to thank all of the community involved in the project, both individuals, as well as organistaions and businesses. These included: Ein Hanes, Café on the Quay, the Yacht Club, Sea Cadets, Ocean Lab, Fishguard Library, the Royal Oak and Theatre Gwaun.

So that we have an idea of numbers attending, please ring/email myself or the school office.

We look forward to seeing you on the 11th.
